IT Essentials I & II

Each phase of this two-part lab-oriented set of courses is 70 hours of class- work.

IT Essentials I, PC Hardware and Software – introduces students to information technology and data communications. Students learn how to build a computer and install different versions of the Windows Operating System.

IT Essentials II, Network Operating Systems - is an intensive introduction to multi-user, multitasking operating systems. It is an overview of network operating systems, specifically covering Linux Red Hat Network operating system. Students learn how to use the Linux operating system, the Kdesktop Environment *KDE), and GNU Network Object Model (GNOME).

Students who successfully complete both portions of this program are also eligible to earn a Cisco Certification.

Current tuition fee for the IT Essentials I & II is $ 300 US or its equivalent in Nakfa.
