Applicants to the Regular Diploma Program must have the following qualifications:

Secondary School leavers -

who have passed at least five subjects in the ESECE and whose GPA is at least 2.0* with no F in any subject or at least 2.2* with one F in English or Maths (2.0* with one F in English or Maths for female and blind students) may be admitted into the diploma programs;

* GPA is subject to slight variation from year to year and exact requirements are published each year after the ESECE results are known.

Certificate-holders from the University of Asmara:

with a CGPA equal to or greater than 2.50 but less than 2.75 may be admitted to diploma programs at freshman level.

Students enrolled in the Advanced Diploma Program may change to the regular Diploma Program: With a CGPA equal to or greater than ____, but . . .
