The need for trained professional management personnel is great throughout Eritrea. The absence of expertise is felt at every level, but a long-term needs assessment by the University's Department of Business Management has identified two areas of immediate concern.

These two broad categories of specialization have been selected for the Advanced Diploma in Management program, a three-year curriculum directed at producing graduates to meet immediate national needs

The General Management program will graduate well-rounded mid-level managers prepared to work in a variety of public and private sectors. Because they will be flexible as middle managers, they will have the potential to grow and expand their expertise with on-the-job training and experience

The Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship Program graduates are expected to primarily run their own businesses, create new businesses, or manage small and medium-sized enterprises in both the service and manufacturing sectors

Among other things, graduates of the program can work as:

• Marketing/Sales Managers
• Human Resource Managers
• Operation Managers
• Store Managers
• Project Managers
• Entrepreneurs
