Many individuals are not able to attend the regular University degree program but would still like to pursue advanced study beyond secondary school. Others would like to return to pursue higher education after having been in the workforce for some time. The University offers two diploma programs for these individuals, as well as one Certificate Program and continuing education programs at the Consultancy, Training, and Testing Center (CTTC).

Advanced Diploma Program: A 3-year, full-time course of study, this program is offered at the University's satellite campus, the College of Social and Management Sciences, in Hal-hale. Programs are geared to individuals who seek practical training that will help them advance in a specific career.

Two-Year Diploma Program: Two-Year Diploma Programs are offered in the Colleges of Agriculture and Education and are held on the main University campus in Asmara.
